  9. too. StarLight Graphic Display Systems allow a single 386 or 486 computer to
  10. support 1 to 32 remote graphics workstations over high-speed fibre optic rings.

  13. eight-station StarLight system includes one fibre optic interface board for the
  14. host PC and a compact workstation module for each user - all linked via fibre
  15. optic cable. The StarLight modules extend the power of the PC bus to the remote
  16. workstations. StarLight systems surpass similar graphics solutions in the
  17. following areas: more linear distance per system; supports optic fibre rings up
  18. to 3,300 feet (1,005 meters) in length; nearly twice the distance of other
  19. multiuser graphics solutions; faster screen updates (125 Mbits/sec data rate);
  20. up to 12 times faster than other multiuser graphics systems; 10 times faster
  21. than Ethernet or Token Ring networks; 100 times faster than RS232 connections.
